The Rev. Dr. David A. Zwifka – Rector

The Reverend Dr. David A. Zwifka was ordained a deacon in 1980 and a priest in 1981. He holds a B.A. from Houghton College, an M.A.(Theo.) from Christ the King Seminary (East Aurora, NY), and Licentiate and Doctor of Canon Law degrees from The Catholic University of America. Dr. Zwifka has been active in pastoral, educational, and administrative ministries throughout his career. He is a member of the Mission and Formation Commission of the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and holds the office of Registrar for the diocese. He also guides current ministry discernment interns within the diocese in The Bishop Dean T. Stevenson School for Ministry (formerly The School of Christian Studies). He also is a member of the diocesan Board of Examining Chaplains and the Diocesan Committee for Worship and Music.

Dr. Zwifka sees his role at St. Mark's principally as a facilitator of parish ministry. "All the baptized are called to reflect the image of Christ to the world," he maintains. "The ordained clergy provide sacramental identity to the baptized as they exercise the ministry of their common priesthood in Jesus Christ."

Dr. Zwifka has been with St. Mark's Church since 2010.
